Residual current circuit breakers
Earth leakage breakers detect leakage current and automatically interrupt the electrical circuit. They include ampere breakers that are installed to power distribution boards, leakage breakers built into plugs of electrical appliances, and more. Earth leakage breakers are largely classified into high sensitivity, medium sensitivity, low sensitivity and rated current sensitivity types. They commonly feature special materials with high magnetic permeability such as permalloy and permalloy cores. Earth leakage breakers are important devices installed onto circuits to prevent ground fault as well as electric shock and fires caused by earth leakage, and for this reason, most products feature an overcurrent protection function. Select products with the shape and characteristics suitable to the electrical circuit voltage, current capacity, thickness and capacity of wires and the scale of the electrical facility used.
