Cable Bushings (2 page)
Cable bushings are fit onto through holes for wiring to prevent damage to power cables and cords from rough edges. Mounting types include push-in single-action mounting, screw-in mounting from both sides of the panel, fastening with adhesives, and more. Aside from the cylindrical types, other available shape types are grommet edging that can be adjusted to fit the hole shape, blanking plugs to plug holes, and more. Other types feature specific functionalities, such as drain fittings to release condensation from the enclosure, bushings for wiring that requires waterproofing and protective vent plugs that release steam from the enclosure while retaining its waterproof, dustproof and heat resistant properties. Cable bushings are made of nylon with excellent heat resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, etc., insulated rubber, polyamide, which is a lightweight resin, among other materials, and must be selected to suit the desired application.
