Nippers (Insulated)
Wire cutters (insulated) are wire cutters covered with an insulating material, unlike ordinary wire cutters. It is used to protect workers from electric shock when working with facilities that handle electricity or when it is necessary to perform work without shutting off power. The handle is insulated, and the head uses special tool steel and vanadium electric steel. Some products have chrome plating or oil hardening. For wire cutters (insulated), there are insulation tools according to DIN VDE0105, EN50110 and IEC60364 standards, and it is possible to work even under the conditions of 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC. There are also products that comply with the international standard IEC609010. Wire cutters (insulated) can cut various objects such as mild steel wire, hard wire, spring steel, and electric cables. Therefore, it is necessary to select the product according to the cutting ability and blade hardness of the wire cutters.
