HEPENIX Ltd. is a Hungarian company based in Diósd. The company which once was an engineering office has grown into a full ‐ scale machinery solution supplier fulfilling the assembly, manufacturing and testing needs of its customers.
Since its foundation in 1991, HEPENIX has established itself as a reliable partner on the local and international market. HEPENIX provides the full range of services including the design, development, manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance of special purpose machinery and is currently employing 35 engineers and technicians.
In the early years of its existence, HEPENIX designed and manufactured nearly everything in‐house. With the growth of the company, a solution was due which would enable total cost savings for the company.In addition, it was important to focus on value adding technical processes for the customers.HEPENIX and MISUMI first met at a trade fair where they started building a strong business relationship. MISUMI convinced the customer thanks to the reliability and availability of its products.
HEPENIX purchases MISUMI components on a regular basis. The customer is particularly satisfied with the quality of products and the wide product variety. The designers enjoy the vast number of possibilities MISUMI offers. They also appreciate the direct feedback of the Online Quote & Order System which notifies them directly in case of an incorrect product code.
Another helpful feature of the MISUMI online system is the possibility to import bill of materials from tabulated format (e.g. MS Excel) so that information does not have to be typed in separately. HEPENIX has also used MISUMI components in one of the most recent projects – a drive shaft press. Parts such as conveyor belts, covers, linear guides, rollers and cams were incorporated into the application.
By using MISUMI components, HEPENIX was able to concentrate on the overall design and could achieve significant savings. In this way, they could cut down the design time by 10 – 15 per cent, according to the customer’s estimate.
