Micrometer heads

A micrometer head is device for measuring length, generally consisting of two measurement surfaces. One is fixed and one can be adjusted with a fine thread. These are then usually connected via a bracket or a bracket measuring screw. MISUMI supplies configurable micrometer heads for every application.

Definition of a micrometer head

A micrometer head is mainly used for smaller objects where the object to be measured is inserted between the two measurement surfaces on the micrometer head. The allows the micrometer head to indicate the length to the level of a micrometer. A screw thread is usually used for dimensional scale, which generally shows a scale of 0.5 millimetres. In order to understand the length of an object to be measured, the length is generally shown on an analogue scale or a digital display.

Configurable micrometer heads from MISUMI

Micrometer heads from MISUMI can be individually configured with regard to several components and adapted to the application in question. There are two versions to choose from in each case with regard to assembly diameter, tip diameter and stroke length. In addition you can choose from the two versions MCLN6 and MCLN12. Please note that the micrometer features a screw or nut system and does not change over the whole length. The micrometer screw for fine adjustments many be ordered separately, as well as the cost-saving original MISUMI products.

Accessories for micrometer heads

As accessories for micrometer heads, MISUMI can supply hand grips   for the HDCVR13 version. The order includes three head attachments. The diameter of the micrometer head screw or the setting screw may be enlarged by installing the head attachment.
