Springs

MISUMI offers a wide range of coil springs, gas springs and shock absorbers.

Tension springs are exposed to diverse loads in mechanical engineering. MISUMI offers the right solution for every application. Load capacities range from very low: 0.69 to high: 430N.

The following formula applies to tension springs: Load P[N] = Initial Tension Pi[N] + (Spring Constant k [N / mm] × Deflection F [mm])

MISUMI springs (except prefabricated versions) are standardised to maintain the maximum load at the same diameter constant. Initial tension and spring constant are reference values produced on the basis of the maximum load value.

Springs may only be used within the range of allowable deflection F max. (mm). Exceeding the allowable deflection may cause deformation or malfunction after a few applications. It should be noted that springs should also not be extended beyond the allowable deflection during installation!

Springs without hooks

Separated from the spring itself, the mounting plate can be moved flexibly depending on requirements. In addition, direct contact between the spring and retaining plate does not cause bending stress to the holding plate, which is not possible with conventional tension springs.

Springs for hook installation

Hook / mounting plates can be mounted on the spring so that the tension springs can be pre-cut to the desired length.

Anchors for tension springs

Anchors are available in various types:
