3D printer industry: Our aluminium construction profiles
At the MISUMI one-stop shop
The modular structure of our aluminium construction profiles is especially appreciated by our 3D printer manufacturing customers. If it is used, the rack for a 3D printer can be assembled quickly, flexibly and in a cost-efficient manner. The modular structure puts next to no restrictions on the frame construction design. A large selection of attachment parts that can be attached or removed at any time enable short-term changes and customised adjustments to be made to the aluminium extrusions. The universal uses of construction profiles also allow the profiles to be reused in another application after the product life cycle of a 3D printer. Aluminium extrusions offer significant corrosion resistance. Compared with standard steel structures, this characteristic makes them very low-maintenance. They also have a longer service life, which makes them a very important construction element.
However, aluminium extrusions, also referred to as extruded construction profiles, are not just suitable for the 3D printer industry as a result of their modular design, simple assembly and disassembly, reusabilty, their low weight and their corrosion resistance. They are also used in system and machine construction, the building trade, the office and furniture industry and storage and transport technology. Aluminium extrusions can be used for a wide variety of applications including frames, industrial equipment, production facilities, workbenches and in occupational safety.
83% of the illustrated application of a 3D printer from our partner CR-3D is made up of components from the MISUMI one-stop shop.
The frame of the 3D printer solely consists of our construction profiles and construction profile accessories including threads, handles and end plates. The lightness and rigidity of our aluminium construction profiles help achieve a good printing result, a low total weight of the 3D printer and good mobility.
The 3D printer C1 from CR-3D is a Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printer for the highest demands.
The C-Series stands for a compact design and ultra fast printing speeds in a space of 320x250x350mm. The state-of-the-art CoreXY MotionSystem ensures low moving mass and low vibration movements of the dual print head. The weight of the printhead has been further reduced by the Bowden extruder system. The user interface is a 7-inch touch display, which provides intuitive operation, uncomplicated setup and detailed status information to the user. In terms of user-friendliness, the device has also been equipped with a filament sensor and automatic print bed measurement before printing, so that nothing stands in the way of high process safety and reliability.

Aluminium construction profiles are popular components frequently used in a large number of applications. Given their multiple uses, it is particularly important to be able to adapt the material precisely to the relevant application. Our configurator makes this possible in our online shop without having to treat the components you require as custom products:
