Profile rail guides (linear guides)
In the MISUMI one-stop shop
Profile rail guides belong to the roll-guided linear guides in machine construction. They are produced with different pre-tensions and accuracies and are suitable for applications with significant guide and positioning requirements with their high rigidity and bearing capacity. Profile rail guides are very low-maintenance due to the largely integrated lubricant reservoirs.
Analyses of the dimensional tolerance are required in car body construction to assess the development of quality in the individual process steps and to recognise deviations at an early stage. This is done by using measuring devices. They can be used to check dimensions and tolerance deviations of individual parts, assemblies or attachments in their subsequent installation position. Measuring devices are therefore of major importance in car body construction.
Profile rail guides are especially well suited to these measuring devices due to their significant guide and positioning properties. They enable, for example, the lateral calibration of contours, the testing of linear holes and much more. How linear guides are used in practice is evident in the following application example of the C-Con measuring device. MISUMI miniature profile rail guides with standard carriages were used here slightly prestressed.
How MISUMI can help your company to meet your requirements quickly and precisely can be seen in the example of our customer DesignPro Automation. The company started with the development of devices and applications for the automotive industry in its infancy and now also produces large, fully-automated assembly lines from start to finish.
In order to ensure a smooth operation, flexible and robust control and power cables are of fundamental importance in system construction. They are used to connect sensors to a control and monitoring unit. A flexible sensor is generally connected to the application via a drag chain or control and sensor cables are attached to robots or their arms. A particular advantage here is that the cables stand out with low particle emissions in the moving chain insert. This applies to the LAPP control and instrument cables. We especially recommend the ÖLFLEX® CLASSIC FD 810.
