Oil-free bushings

Oil-free bushings and bushing housings ensure a long lifetime of the system. MISUMI provides a wide range of types: specifications and dimensions can be configured to meet your individual requirements. Various materials, such as copper alloy, plastic, bronze, fluoroplastic and many others, are available.

Oil-free bushings with embedded solid lubricants

Bushings with embedded solid lubricants are usually designed for very high loads and are available as straight type, head type, thrust type and integrated flange. For the thrust type, the lubricant is embedded at the flange to withstand radial load and thrust load at the same time.

Bronze bushings

Bronze bushings are available as straight, shouldered and integrated flanged. Special ingredients were added to the bronze casting and the porous casting is lubricated with lubricants. With lubrication, the bushings are highly resistant to abrasion and sintering, therefore making them ideal for high speeds and low loads and lubricating frequency is reduced.

Bushings with copper alloy

The housing for these bushings are produced and assembled in a shorter time period. They are compatible with linear ball bearings with standard flange, guide flange and center flange. Bushings with copper alloy are available in three versions: single, double and long.

Cast iron bushings

These bushings are oil free and optimised for use in medium load and low speed applications. They have a low coefficient of friction under vibration and reciprocating lifting movements due to the spiral embedded molybdenum disulfide lubricant. Cast iron bushings are available in 4 versions: straight and flanged standard types, with integrated flange and with pillow blocks.

Plastic bushings

Two types of plastic are available: polyacetal and PTFE. Bushings made from polyacetal have excellent load capacity and resistance to abrasion. They are suitable for high speeds due to low coefficient of static friction. They prevent friction vibrations and squeaking, and are designed to comply with food sanitary laws. These bushings also have excellent chemical resistance.

Maintenance-free slide bearings

Slide bearings' role is to give physical support to parts moving towards one another, or to guide them; it is also to bear the forces that emerge and transfer those forces. The slide-bearing method means that the moving component is brought to the bearing bush by sliding motion. Rotary, linear or oscillating movements are possible.

Characteristics of slide bearings

In operation, slide bearings generate low levels of noise. They are particularly suitable both if high loads have to be borne, accompanied by relatively slow movements, and also in the case of changing temperatures. In highly corrosive environments, slide bearings make it possible to have pairings of materials that provide the highest level of resistance. The limited installation-space required and the diversity of characteristics that slide bearings provide make them irreplaceable in many industrial applications. MISUMI offers slide bearings at a diameter ranging from 5 mm (*3) to 100 mm.

Characteristics of solid-lubricant slide bearings

Maintenance-free solid-lubricant slide bearings consist of a basic body and a copper cast alloy; solid-lubricant deposits are permitted to enter into the sliding surfaces of the copper-cast alloy at regular distances. These deposits make possible a low coefficient of friction and thus reduced wear. Solid-lubricant slide bearings are particularly suitable for bearings used at low running speed and/or high specific load. Even the smallest sliding movements release solid lubricant by means of micro-abrasion. Maintenance-free slide bearings are almost noise-free, with very long product life because of their effective wear-resistance properties. The slide bearings are available from the storage facility in Japan within six working days.
