If you know the part number

Extremely useful search function using the full part number.
Enter the part number in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass icon.

The applicable CAD model is imported directly into SOLIDWORKS.

If you don't know the part number

1. Select the category photo.

2. Select items on the left side. Narrows down the list of products.

Select the model save location and import. The model can also be imported into an assembly file at this point.
When you select the product, the import screen is displayed and the model is imported into SOLIDWORKS.

The base model is imported into SOLIDWORKS.
*The base model is the basic model before a part number is determined.

1. Select the material and dimensions on the design window at the right side and click apply to the CAD model to apply to the CAD model.
*The base model is the basic model before a part number is determined.

2. As a result, the specified specifications are applied to the CAD model.

Click to view an enlarged display of the drawing.

With RAPiD Design, you can click "Save with part number" to create a new file with the specified name. The reference destination is changed to the newly created file.

1. Click on the "Save with part number button" Save with part number button.

2. A window for specifying the file name and save location is displayed.
The file name is the part number. Any string can be added in front and after the part number.

3. A new file is created with the specified name and the reference destination on the tree is changed to the new file.

For users concerned about overwriting data, refer to the RAPiD Design file saving system.

If you click on a component during RAPiD Design startup, it takes several seconds to read the model information. When you want to cancel this, switch it to OFF.

RAPiD Design adds multiple features to every CAD model to enable you to change its shape and dimensions after you import it. If you are worried about the size of the file, you can reduce the size of the model using "Reduce file size".

1. When saving with a part number, add a ✔ to "Reducing File Size" and save.

2. Features you are not using will be deleted.

*Once the file has been reduced in size, the model can no longer be edited in RAPiD Design.
