Use of Google Universal Analytics with anonymisation function

We use Google Universal Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter “Google”, on our site. Google Universal Analytics uses what are known as cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer and help to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by these cookies, for example time, location and number of visits to our website including your IP address will be possibly also transferred to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Universal Analytics on our website with the suffix "_gat._anonymizeIp". Your IP address will in this case be truncated within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and anonymised.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on the website activities for us and to provide further services associated with website and internet use. Google will also transfer this information to third parties if this is prescribed by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Google states that it will not use your IP address in connection with other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly.

Google also offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over which data is recorded by Google on the websites you have accessed. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Universal Analytics that no information should be communicated on the website visit to Google Universal Analytics. The deactivation add-on for the browser of Google Analytics does not prevent information being sent to us or to other web analysis services used by us however. Further information on the installation of the browser add-on can be found under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

If you visit our site with a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click on this link instead to stop tracking from Google Universal Analytics within this website in future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. By clicking on the link, an opt-out cookie will be set in your browser that is only valid for this browser and domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted which means you have to click on the link again.

Our website uses the functions of Google Universal Analytics in conjunction with the functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick across all devices. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland is the provider.
This function enables the advertising target groups created with Google Universal Analytics to be linked to the functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick across all devices. This means that interest-based, personalised advertising messages that were adapted to you depending on your earlier usage and surfing behaviour on an end device (e.g. mobile phone) are also displayed on another of your end devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have given Google your consent in your Google account, Google will connect your web and app browser activity to your Google account for this purpose. This enables the same personalised advertising messages to be displayed on every end device you are registered on with your Google account. To support this function, Google Universal Analytics records Google-authenticated IDs of the users that are temporarily linked to our Google Universal Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for advertising across all devices. If you have not approved the link between a Google account and the web or app browser, the ID and other data will not be collected using the remarketing function.

You can permanently object to remarketing/targeting across all devices by deactivating personalised advertising in your Google account; follow this link to do this: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/

More information and the data protection regulations can be found in the Google privacy statement at: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/

Google Analytics 4

If you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. The responsible party for users in the EU/EEA and Switzerland is Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

Scope of processing

Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected by means of the cookies about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We use the User ID function. User ID allows us to assign a unique, persistent ID to one or more sessions (and the activities within those sessions) and to analyze user behavior across devices.

We use Google Signals. This allows Google Analytics to collect additional information about users who have personalized ads enabled (interests and demographics) and ads can be delivered to these users in cross-device remarketing campaigns.

Google Analytics 4 has IP address anonymization enabled by default. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

During your website visit, your user behavior is recorded in the form of "events". Events can be:

  • Page views
  • First visit to the website
  • Start of session
  • Your "click path", interaction with the website
  • Scrolls
  • clicks on external links
  • internal search queries
  • interaction with videos
  • file downloads
  • language settings

Also recorded:

  • Your approximate location (region)
  • your IP address (in shortened form)
  • technical information about your browser and the end devices you use (e.g. language setting, screen resolution)
  • your internet service provider
  • the referrer URL (via which website/advertising medium you came to this website)

Purposes of processing

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics serve to analyse the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.

Recipients

Recipients of the data are/may be:

  • Alphabet Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

It cannot be ruled out that US authorities may access the data stored by Google.

Third country transfer

Insofar as data is processed outside the EU/EEA and there is no level of data protection corresponding to the European standard, we have concluded EU standard contractual clauses with the service provider to establish an appropriate level of data protection. The parent company of Google Ireland, Google LLC, is based in California, USA. A transfer of data to the USA and access by US authorities to the data stored by Google cannot be ruled out. The USA is currently considered a third country from a data protection perspective. You do not have the same rights there as within the EU/EEA. Maileon is a service that can be used to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. email address) will also be processed on Maileon’s servers in Germany.

Our newsletters sent using Maileon enable us to analyse the behaviour of newsletter recipients. This may include: which recipients have opened the newsletter message and which link was clicked in the newsletter. Conversion tracking can also be used to analyse whether a predefined action (e.g. purchasing a product on our website) has taken place after clicking the link in the newsletter. A cookie is set for this purpose. Any storage and processing of personal data will only take place on the basis of your consent within the scope of the advertising consent (double opt-in procedure). We used what is referred to as the double opt-in procedure to send the newsletter, i.e. we will only send a newsletter to you via e-mail if you have expressly confirmed to us beforehand that we should activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link in this e-mail. When you register for our newsletter, we will save your IP address and the date of registration. This data is only saved as proof in the event that a third party misuses your e-mail address to register to receive the newsletter without your knowledge or consent. The sign up can be revoked at any time. After receipt of your objection, your e-mail address will cease to be used for advertising purposes immediately

The evaluation of the aforementioned information serves to identify the reading habits of the recipients to enable us to better adapt and control our newsletter content accordingly. The legal basis for the processing is Art.. 6 para. 1 (1)(a) GDPR. Insofar as the newsletter registration takes place outside of a contract, we will process this data until two years after the end of the usage. We delete this data when the newsletter subscription is ended. Further information on data protection and the protection of your privacy can be found at https://www.maileon.de/datenschutz

Sending the e-mail newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you e-mail offers for similar goods or services to those already purchased from our product range. In accordance with § 7 (3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG), we are not required to obtain separate consent for this. In this respect, data is processed solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct marketing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you objected to the use of your e-mail address for this purpose at the start of the relationship, we will not send you such e-mails. You are entitled to object to the use of your e-mail address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the controller named at the start. After receipt of your objection, your e-mail address will cease to be used for advertising purposes immediately.

Addresscheck (XQueue)

This site uses the "Addresscheck" service provided by XQueue GmbH to determine the existence and accuracy of e-mail addresses.

During this check, the e-mail addresses are neither stored nor passed on.

You can find further information on address verification at https://www.addresscheck.eu/ and in the privacy policy of XQueue GmbH: https://maileon.com/de/datenschutz/

AB Tasty

We use the AB Tasty web analytics service provided by our processor AB TASTY SAS, 17-19 Rue Michel-le-Comte, 75003 Paris, France. This service is used to perform A/B and multivariate tests in order to continuously improve our online offer.

AB Tasty collects statistical information about successful visitor accesses. This information is pseudonymous usage data (browser used, number of pages viewed, number of visits, order of visit, duration of visit, interactive actions such as filling/emptying a shopping basket, use of individual web pages, order number, tariff ordered) which is recorded and statistically evaluated.

In addition, AB Tasty carries out geolocation (regional details of your location) with the help of your IP address. The IP address is then immediately irrevocably deleted and not stored.

In order to display content that responds to your interests, a pattern is formed. This pattern is encrypted and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. Cookies are stored for the storage and recognition of page visitors. These have a duration of 13 months and are then automatically deleted.

You also have the option of manually deleting the cookies or preventing them from being saved in the future. An opt-out cookie is set via the "Cookie settings" at the top of this page, which prevents future storage. If you delete your browser cookies, you will need to opt out again via these settings. We would like to point out that with an opt-out, some contents of the website will not be available or will only be available to a limited extent.

The processing of pseudonymous data by means of AB Tasty is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) of the German Data Protection Act (DS-GVO), due to our overriding legitimate interest in an optimised display of content on the website.
