Standoffs & Spacers

Standoffs & spacers are exposed to various conditions in systems engineering. The range of MISUMI standoffs & spacers covers different designs, materials and sizes to offer the right solution for every application.

Spacers / standoffs in standard version

The standard spacer is available in 3 to 30mm length and 2 to 12 mm diameter and is treated with trivalent chromate (black) coating. Examples of application:

Simultaneous grinding spacers / standoffs

Simultaneous grinding spacers are characterised by extreme precision. Ganged machining allows L dimension variations to be within ± 5μ per order. Depending on the type, 1 to 100mm lengths can be configured in 0.1mm increments, diameters range from 4 to 50mm, and inner diameters from 3 to 48mm. Surfaces are treated in black oxide or electroless nickel plating.

Stepped spacers / standoffs

Stepped spacers / standoffs are burnished or chemically nickel-plated depending on the type and material selected. The recessed flange is definable in the lengths 1-20mm for every type.

Shim plates and shim tape – for small and very small spaces

Shim plates are available for smaller dimensions and are suitable for a height of 0.1 to 1.0mm. A special version made of SK-hardened steel is also available. Lengths and widths vary depending on the type.

Shim tape can be used for spaces with a height of 0.005 to 0.5mm. It is available in 1000mm or 5000mm lengths, delivered rolled in a box. Alternatively, there is also a version in a practical roll box, with a fixed width of 100 mm and length of 1500mm. An alternative material can also be chosen for shim tape in SK-hardened steel.
