Timing belts

For timing belts, manufacturers such as MISUMI are required to solve delicate material issues. On the one hand, timing belts need to run smoothly; and on the other hand, increasing transfer benefits are expected. The aim is to design drives with maximum efficiency, for example, to transfer more power in the same space requirements or to achieve the same performance in a smaller space.

MISUMI offers timing belts, which are used in drive technology, linear technology and transport technology. Positioning systems with actuators, handling modules or linear actuators, such as those used in packaging machines as well as in industrial robots, are typical applications for timing belt drives. They function reproducibly due to the form closure and can be operated free from play. Compared to chains, timing belts offer quieter operation, higher accuracy and performance can be controlled via the combination of pitch and belt width.

Trapezoidal profiles are available in the standardized inch variants MXL, XL, L, H, and the metric variants T5 and T10. Rounded timing belt profiles of MISUMI offer even smoother running and accuracy as well as lower peak loads of sprockets.

Belt pulleys from MISUMI are available for almost every shaft diameter in relation to number of teeth, as well as chosen profile. They offer the possibility of friction-locked or positive-locked connection to the shaft with clamping screw, feather key groove or conical clamping sleeve. MISUMI offers belt pulleys in aluminium or steel.
